Okay so they’re is this boy, who I am really good friends with, and I’ve had a crush on him for 3 years. His older sister has a boyfriend with a younger sister our age. He is best friends with her and they do just about everything together. They went to prom together, hangout all the time etc… I haven’t told him about my feelings for him because when I tried, that’s when I found out that him and the other girl were going to prom together. He has told me multiple times that he likes her, and just how amazing she is. At this point I feel like there is no use in telling him how I feel about him anymore. I’ve given a ton of hints, but he just seems to ignore them. All of my siblings and friends make fun of me because of my crush on him. It’s not fair.. they are all in relationships and have at least one person who has a crush on them.. why not me?.. I’m never the one for anyone, and it makes me feel so alone. I truly do love him. I feel in love with someone as a little kid, some would say they were my first real crush. However I am gay and he was a very straight acting person who I met thru a very straight youth group and just assumed he was straight as well. When I was 18 he (16) confessed he had feelings for me and altho the age gap would have been legal the youth group has a very bad rep with adults and children having relationships. So I turned him down and have regretted it ever sence. That was almost a year ago and I thought about telling him how it has been eating away at me as I have tried but never really got the chance to.
